Looking Out, Himeji CastlePosted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 21 February 2007 in People & Portrait. Had my first ever visit to Himeji Castle the other week. It's one of the oldest and largest original castles remaining in Japan. Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

@Sathiyan: Thanks Sathiyan! @Jen: Thanks Jen. Luckily you can't really see, but the view in the distance isn't great... some rather drab buildings in Himeji town. Bright light erases them from view! Alfredo J. Martiz J. from Tokyo, JapanI like the contrast and silhouette, the composition is nice! 21 Feb 2007 2:51pm @Alfredo J. Martiz J.: Thanks Alfredo. You ever been here? Shuva from Hyderabad, IndiaLovely b/w and the placement of subject is also very good. 21 Feb 2007 3:36pm @Shuva: Thank you Shuva! @Evie Sears: Cheers Evie! Sylvia from Milano, ItalyI like the black and white very much in this, and it intrigues me, makes me want to see more of the garden. 21 Feb 2007 6:36pm @Sylvia: Thanks Sylvia. There was a nice garden completely separate from the castle grounds. Do you like Japanese gardens? dYe from Cambridge, United StatesLovely composition. There's something rather wistful about it - perhaps it's the way the bars on the window mimic a jail cell. 21 Feb 2007 7:48pm @dYe: Thank you dYe! @frank: Cheers frank! Amit from Santa Clara, CA, United StatesGood b/w image.
