Bit of a throwaway shot this one. Moments after going over, moments before the tears started. I removed the trip wire with Photoshop; does it look okay?
Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future.

Okay? It looks great! Every element works very well together. The distance and inattentiveness of the other people, the desolation of the sand, the smallness of the main subject....they each contribute to the feel of the photo and a close crop would have been a mistake in my opinion. As it is, though, a great shot.

I think it looks great - brings out almost the complete helplessness of the situation. And of course the forecoming wail =).

@Roman: Thanks Roman, yes if you hurt yourself in Japan you can usually say "itai!" but there are lots of variations, like the one above.
