Let it RainPosted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 9 April 2007 in People & Portrait. Determined to enjoy hanami, no matter what! Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Mia from Cin City, United StatesA crop/composition like this draws the viewer's attention to the hands, natural posture of the people... makes it more fun in interpreting the shot :) 9 Apr 2007 5:05am @Mia: Thanks very much Mia! Rene from Kitchener-Waterloo, CanadaI would agree, the hands tell the story. Nice idea. I would never do this myself, I feel wierd cropping out peoples heads. But that's just me. 9 Apr 2007 11:08am @Rene: Cheers Rene! Mike Cash from Kiryu, JapanVery nice scene. Was this one of the areas where people stake out their spot days in advance? 15 Apr 2007 1:41am @Mike Cash: Not sure Mike... it was a 'good spot' though if I remember... |
