Kindergarten Kids, SonodaPosted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 6 June 2007 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. Kids in the kindergarten behind my apartment. Don't know what this game is; they've been playing it every morning for the past week or so. They dance around to music holding these sheets - very funny. Anyone here with kids that can enlighten me as to what its all about? Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

DTW from Orlando, United StatesI remember doing something like that when I was a kid. Can't really say what the point to it was though. We did at one point put a ball in the middle and the object was to shake your side hard enough to make it fall off another way. 6 Jun 2007 12:34pm @DTW: These guys dance around then sheet have to stop and shake it. I guess its just a fun way to exercise..? George from Sanford, FL, United StatesGreat capture. The joy shows through. As others have said, the perspective here is what makes it such a winner. 6 Jun 2007 12:54pm @George: Thank you George. Sojourn from Singapore, SingaporeCheery shot! Nice colours! Nicky from South of England, United KingdomBeautiful colours - its a type of parachute and we have them in some schools in England - the children walk around with it holding on to the edges, they dance like yours are doing and they thrust it in to the air as high as they can and try catch the wind - I did this with special needs adults many years ago and they had so much enjoyment from it - more used in the summer months as well for obvious reasons. Fun days captured there in your shot :-) 8 Jun 2007 12:11pm @Nicky: Thanks for that info and for your visit Nicky! filipe franco from Lagoa, Azores, PortugalVery good with lovely colors and technical perfect - composition/frame.
