Kindergarten Kids, Sonoda 2Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 8 June 2007 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. The children dance around to a tape of Disney songs, sung in Japanese, blaring on loudspeakers. For those of you who are interested, in Japan, the Mickey Mouse Club song goes "Mickey Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Micky Mickey Mouse" instead of "M-I-C, K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E". They also have a version of the Pirates of the Caribbean song, of which the only part I can discern is "Yo-ho, yo-ho". AND they have a Japanese version of the Davy Crockett song - I wonder if the kids are big fans of Davy Crockett? 8 a.m. every weekday for one week now... Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!
