Souzaiya, Ikoma

Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 27 June 2007 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

A souzaiya is a shop that sells food in a deli-style selection, usually the kind of small dishes you might eat as a snack, or make part of a bento (Japanese lunch box); my wife described it as being the 'Japanese version of tapas'.

Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Helen from Melbourne, Australia
