Why...?Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 31 August 2007 in Food & Cuisine. ...Only in east Japan?! You can't get Dr. Pepper in vending machines in west Japan... Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Amir from X, United StatesPeople from "Kansai" don't like Dr. Pepper! I always loved the look of Japanese vending machines. Even cans are nicer than the rest of the world. Very cool buddy. 31 Aug 2007 7:33pm @Amir: Thanks Amir! Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesTo echo Amir's comment, there is something very appealing about the design of these cans --especially the Sprite can. I don't drink soft drinks, but I find something pleasing about this can. 10 Oct 2007 9:48pm @Twelvebit: Thanks Twelvebit. Lots of varieties of soft drinks here. I'm more of a tea person these days though. Companies constantly test the market here, releasing loads of varieties of drinks and snacks. They appear for a short time, then are withdrawn; top sellers reappear later. In the summer this year, we had... cucumber Pepsi! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pepsi_Ice_Cucumber |
