Start of a small series taken at this festival, held in Kishiwada, Osaka last weekend. Huge floats (danjiri) are pulled through the town, at fast and dangerous speeds, manned by crews representing various town guilds. Guild members dance and jump around on top of the floats, which is particularly dramatic as the crews pull the floats even faster around street corners!
