Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Stunning colours sir! Truly beautiful. You timed your visit to Kyoto perfectly. Is this in the grounds of Kinka-kuji?

Outstanding compo Daroru, I love how the person on the plank just views the surrounding beauty, the awesome colours of fall and the tourists taking photos and just enjoying the view. It's wonderful :)

i like the color of the trees.

13 Dec 2007 10:58am

@pedro alexandre: Yes they were very nice.

Guillermina from Buenos Aires, Argentina

Agree with Lorraine. I would've cropped out the hands and bag showing to the left of the man to enhance the contrast with the bunch of tourists outside. But otherwise it's a great shot, one of those that tell a story. And the colors are surreal.

16 Dec 2007 3:16pm

@Guillermina: Thanks Guillermina!

Aayawa from Edinburgh, United Kingdom

I like to composition, the way the lead in lines frame the colours and drw the eye to thes tanding figure

Very nice indeed.

Only one sugestion - crop out the person cut in half on the left.

16 Dec 2007 9:09pm

@Aayawa: Thanks Aayawa. I might try that... actually I will paint her out. Poof! Gone.

Twelvebit from Victoria, United States
