Statue of Yamauchi Kazutoyo

Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 9 February 2008 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

In the grounds of Kochi castle. Yamauchi Kazutoyo was the feudal lord of the Tosa region of Shikoku in the early 1600s. He had Kochi castle built.

Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

Love the statue, the way light plays on it makes it almost look alive. I would rather have no background than the one made of naked branches....but I know that this was the location and it couldn't be helped!
