Katsurahama 3Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 12 February 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. This is one of the most famous views at Katsurahama. Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

@chris chisu: Thanks chris! Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomI like your treatment here, the overall effect is very appealing. 12 Feb 2008 11:43am @Richard_Irwin: Thanks Richard! Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaThe isolation feel is absolute marvelous, brilliant compo! 12 Feb 2008 12:15pm @Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine! paulski from Muncie, United Statesvery beautiful; like the heightened contrast... 12 Feb 2008 1:07pm @paulski: Cheers paulski! vu@granby - Wolfgang Prigge from Granby, QC, CanadaI like this one, the style really is connected to Japanes paintings.... 12 Feb 2008 4:59pm @vu@granby - Wolfgang Prigge: Thanks Wolfgang! @malahat: Cheers malahat! Aayawa from Edinburgh, United KingdomI like this one. Technically I might have liked to see more detail in the sky and made the see less bright by burning in the highlights, but I like the silhouette effect, 12 Feb 2008 10:29pm @Aayawa: Thanks Aayawa. aaxan from Japanawesome composition and light. I really like the little shrine on the top of the hill, and the TORI too. 13 Feb 2008 1:16am @aaxan: Thanks aaxan! akarui from Kagoshima, JapanNice contrast and great subject. I hope that you could take more pictures of that place. The part that I like best is the main trees on the hill and the next hill with the shrine and toori, with some of the sea. 13 Feb 2008 1:48am @akarui: Thanks akarui! @Sandrine: Cheers Sandrine! @Maria Little: Thanks Maria! Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanIt is,I believe, the best in the series of the Katsurahama! Had you chosen to make it B&W it would have been a wonderful Japanese etching...the view and angle being most suitable for such a work! (Of course, this is how I look at it!) 16 Feb 2008 5:29am @Japanalia: Thank you Gabriela! |
