Katsurahama 3Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 12 February 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. This is one of the most famous views at Katsurahama. Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I'm in a new job now - the first time I've had a full time job since I started on Aminus3. I apologise in advance if I'm suddenly a bit tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments... I will get to you though!

Aayawa from Edinburgh, United KingdomI like this one. Technically I might have liked to see more detail in the sky and made the see less bright by burning in the highlights, but I like the silhouette effect, 12 Feb 2008 10:29pm @Aayawa: Thanks Aayawa. aaxan from Japanawesome composition and light. I really like the little shrine on the top of the hill, and the TORI too. 13 Feb 2008 1:16am @aaxan: Thanks aaxan! akarui from Kagoshima, JapanNice contrast and great subject. I hope that you could take more pictures of that place. The part that I like best is the main trees on the hill and the next hill with the shrine and toori, with some of the sea. 13 Feb 2008 1:48am @akarui: Thanks akarui! @Sandrine: Cheers Sandrine! @Maria Little: Thanks Maria! Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanIt is,I believe, the best in the series of the Katsurahama! Had you chosen to make it B&W it would have been a wonderful Japanese etching...the view and angle being most suitable for such a work! (Of course, this is how I look at it!) 16 Feb 2008 5:29am @Japanalia: Thank you Gabriela! |
