Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Betsy Barron : www.thebetsy.com from Glenmoore, United States

the sharp contrast and 'dividing line' of light makes this image work for me - almost like good & evil!

akarui from Kagoshima, Japan

Nice light and contrast. Good choice of BW. For the composition I find that the highlight in the sky is very big and not so interesting, what would you think about a crop of the top and make a square format?

15 Feb 2008 1:40am

@akarui: Hmm... not sure it makes that big a difference. Thanks akarui!

SPunkt from -, Germany

Oh, that's beautiful! I like the coastline, the sunrays, the (light and shadow -) contrasts. *thumbsup*

@SPunkt: Cheers SPunkt!

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

WOW!!!WOW!!! I love it!!! Impressive! Even though the light in the sky is too huge, but I can roll down and get exactly as much as I want of the flitering rays.

tokyo-drifter from Tokyo, Japan

Sweet shot. I like the way so much attention has been given to the depthless sky. And of course the contrast it provides to the pitch black coast. Very nice.

@tokyo-drifter: Thanks Nick!
