Shrine, End of the Line

Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 5 March 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

This small shrine was in the town at the end of the train line.

Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

It must have been a pleasantly quiet place!I see the torii has a rather strange decoration between the two poles.....never seen it this way.I don't know why....but I was thinking about...." lost... somewhere... on the Japanese archipelago"....this is the feeling of this shot!

@Japanalia: It was a very lonely, peaceful place. Just a few houses and the one-line train station. I couldn't find out what the hoop under the torii was for Gabriela!

Lorraine from Gatineau, Canada
