Very interesting, I think it could become a textile or wallpaper pattern! As to your question yesterday, they are brown bullheads, or barbotte in French, a member of the catfish family. They are very resistent to pollution and a wide temperature range, therefore ideal for the shallow lakes in our area that freeze over completely in winter and get quite warm in summer.
