Winter Days, SonodaPosted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 18 March 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. The weather's beginning to warm up nicely here now, so I thought I'd post a few little icy shots to bid farewell to this year's winter days... Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Michael Skorulski from Cigel, Slovakiathe b/w works very well. I love the falling snow you have captured. 18 Mar 2008 6:17am @Michael Skorulski: Thanks Michael! @Saeed: Cheers Saeed! Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaTotally the opposite of yesterday, yet...still striking ;) 18 Mar 2008 11:50am @Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine. @Lyd: Cheers Lyd! vu@granby - Wolfgang from Granby, Quebec, CanadaHere the last snowfalls of the season are still a few weeks away, they will be wet and slushy like the snow in your photo today. The wet snow feels a lot colder than the dry snow we get in the deep of winter, even though the thermometer says otherwise.. 18 Mar 2008 7:37pm @vu@granby - Wolfgang: I know what you mean Wolfgang. That wet, slushy time is always the most miserable. It didn't last long where I live though. Good luck in the coming weeks! Vikram from Mesa, United StatesSplendid b/w! Great contrast and composition here. 18 Mar 2008 7:53pm @Vikram: Thanks Vikram! Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomVery graphic, I like this winter treatment. 18 Mar 2008 9:14pm @Richard_Irwin: Cheers Richard! standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceBeautiful winter capture. Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesI was going to say "very nice," but as Vikram said, "splendid" is more like it. 20 Mar 2008 4:33am @Twelvebit: Cheers Twelvebit! Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesBTW, your image from yesterday is more "Tokyo Drifter" than today's (I love that movie --wish they'd put it out in Blu-ray). 20 Mar 2008 4:35am @Twelvebit: I've never seen that film Twelvebit! @Japanalia: Thanks Gabriela! @Steve: Thanks Steve! |
