Other Views of Mount Fuji, Part 1

If you take the shinkansen between Tokyo and Osaka, this is the view you get of Mount Fuji. It is a spectacular volcano, but people often comment on the industrial foreground, which doesn't often feature in most beauty shots! To be fair, there are far more beautiful views from other sides of the volcano, which include national parks such as Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park http://japanalia.aminus3.com/image/2008-02-10.html. However, this is also part of the reality of what you see surrounding this famous location.
Not the best shots in the world, taken randomly while crouched by a window between cars on the shinkansen, but... it's Mount Fuji!
Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future.
I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

You are right, we don't often get to see Mount Fuji with the industrial surroundings, but that's our world... Good shot from a speeding train!

Of course it is Mt.Fuji and it is very well captured! Why, this image can be interpreted as "Japan, economic power versus Japan, spiritual power"! Well...not so spiritual nowadays when it comes to Fuji, but...it was a time when only few chosen people were permitted to climb the sacred mountain.
I must tell you that I got the "bug" with taking photos of Mt. Fuji very recently, but once it bit me...I'm really eager to get more! It would be wonderful to get on the "Fuji -5 lakes route" and with a bit of luck one can get fantastic shots, especially at sunset! Well, wishful thinking!
I used to think that it has a perfect shape, but it doesn't! So...nothing is perfect in this world!
