Other Views of Mount Fuji, Part 2Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 22 March 2008 in Landscape & Rural. If you take the shinkansen between Tokyo and Osaka, this is the view you get of Mount Fuji. It is a spectacular volcano, but people often comment on the industrial foreground, which doesn't often feature in most beauty shots! Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

@Lorraine: Thank you Lorraine! Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanWell, here the shape of Fuji-san gives the illusion of being perfect......which we know it is not! And the feeling that the shot was taken from a vehicle in movement is more noticeable! As I said yesterday....it works, at least for me! 22 Mar 2008 11:19am @Japanalia: Thank you Gabriela! maivju:z from kyoto, Japanthese are coming out well...(but what mean 'shinkansen'?) 22 Mar 2008 12:53pm @maivju:z: Cheers H. Oh, sir, I think you are having a little game with me... Shinkansen is an Edo-period expression, and literally means 'horse that moves as if on fire', but today it can refer to any kind of four-legged animal. @Michael: Thanks Michael! @timothy sullivan: No idea timothy... train going too fast! Somewhere in Shizuoka though...! |
