Other Views of Mount Fuji, Part 3Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 23 March 2008 in Landscape & Rural. If you take the shinkansen between Tokyo and Osaka, this is the view you get of Mount Fuji. It is a spectacular volcano, but people often comment on the industrial foreground, which doesn't often feature in most beauty shots! Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

SPunkt from -, GermanyNice contrasts! 27 Mar 2008 4:09pm @SPunkt: Thanks SPunkt. I guess their train was on the more attractive side of Mt. Fuji? SPunkt from -, GermanyI don't know because it looks attractive here, too. But they started at Shinjuku station (which is, as I have learned, the largest station worldwide - 8O - it looked so, too.). 28 Mar 2008 9:15am @SPunkt: Shinjuku is very busy... don't know what train it would have been SPunkt, sorry! tokyo-drifter from Tokyo, JapanMaybe the most striking Fuji-san shot I've ever seen! 2 Apr 2008 3:32am @tokyo-drifter: Very kind t-d! Gnarf from Stockholm, SwedenI have almost the exact same photo which I took from shinkansen as well! Except that it was a cloudy day and half mount Fuji is covered in clouds :( But you did capture it well! 8 May 2008 7:56am @Gnarf: Thank you Gnarf! |
