might have said before...but really like these shinjuku park shots a lot...not images you would immediately associate with japan, let alone tokyo...bleak, stark with a sense of melancholy...

I can tell what what they are: plane trees (Platanus) in the French garden side of the Shinjuku Gyoen. I favour them in autumn, their big palmate leaves turn golden yellow and it is a sight to see! The leaves make a wonderful carpet to sink your feet in! But in spring they barber them in such a terrible way!!! Your processing created a special atmosphere which reminds me of a scene from Lord of the Rings - where the Shepherds of the Trees hold a meeting!
