Sprucing UpPosted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 20 April 2008 in Miscellaneous. Sprucing up the university campus in preparation for the new academic year, which began this month. Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaWow what a photo! It looks like they're preparing for a theatrical production lol 20 Apr 2008 1:55pm @Lorraine: Cheers Lorraine! @Alun Lambert: Thanks Alun. standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceBeautiful image. I like the strong contrast! 20 Apr 2008 6:59pm @standley: Cheers standley! Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesAgain, I'm not sure what it is, but there is something here "nostalgic." 21 Apr 2008 10:31pm @Twelvebit: Is it something to to with the university campus? Or more to do with the photo production? Interesting to hear you say that and I'm glad to hear about your reaction. Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesIt's not the location. It's some combination of the treatment, posture, clothing, and small elements within the frame --but mostly, I think, the treatment. 22 Apr 2008 3:38pm @Twelvebit: Well I'm glad you found it interesting Twelvebit. Thank you. @Vikram: Cheers Vikram! Aayawa from Edinburgh, United KingdomI like this. The gardener, invisible to the walkers taking precedence in the picture, and the mono treatment makes it timeless. 6 May 2008 10:05pm @Aayawa: Thank you Aayawa! |
