Unfortunately it was too hazy and my camera is too lousy to do this view justice, so I fiddled around with the image until I had something I found vaguely interesting.

Cool view over the city. Personally I think the image contains a little too much dark in the lower left corner. What happened with the photos of the interesting building? :)

Vaguely interesting! You must be joking. I love the atmosphere!

@standley: Very kind standley!
it is nice atmosphere and inspiring but would agree that the lower left corner is much too dark. It's tough when dealing with haze, seems like it can make or break an image (so to speak)

@Cheryl: What can I say? Them's the breaks...
The tones gives a nice atmosphere. What do you think about cropping a quater of the picture on the left if you are open to change the camera ratio size. This will reduce the dark negative space and I find the composition stronger.

@akarui: Hmm... don't know how to do that without losing the details of the buildings in the top left or bottom right...
terrific drama...I'm lost in this...

@eddie: Thank you eddie!
To be in Japan with a lousy camera is simply unacceptable, especially after you posted those photos of all those people with expensive photo rigs.

@Twelvebit: If you say so Twelvebit. Any upgrading will have to wait until after I've graduated and hopefully get a salary...
BTW, this might be a good candidate for hdr treatment. As I had an Olympus similar to yours, I believe you can make manual settings with your camera, if it doesn't bracket, and get a real multi-exposure hdr image. The alternative is to make sure you've got a shot without clipped highlights and fake an hdr by creating three images adjusted for optimum highlight and shadow detail.

@Twelvebit: Aargh! That just made my brain hurt...! I will have to dig out the old manual Twelvebit...
