Seirei, MyokenzanPosted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 10 May 2008 in Architecture. "Seirei" is a worship hall designed by architect Shin Takamatsu, part of the Myokenzan shrine complex. Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesI think it takes on sort of an "evil" or "dark side" aura here, like something you'd see in the LOTR, or "fascist" architecture. 12 May 2008 4:21pm @Twelvebit: I was actually influenced here by an English comics artist named Simon Harrison, who used to draw for the British comic 2000AD. |
