Another OsakaPosted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 25 May 2008 in Landscape & Rural. I found it hard to believe I was in Osaka prefecture... Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Adiemus from Christchurch, New ZealandIt could almost be parts of NZ, if you replaced the bamboo with willows! 25 May 2008 8:06am @Adiemus: That's interesting Bronnie, never heard New Zealanders describe the Japanese countryside like that! Rice fields and bamboos remind me of my youth in Madagascar. 25 May 2008 5:50pm @standley: I never thought of Madagascar that way. Thank you standley! @chris chisu: Thank you chris! Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanThen you've got to walk around more....outside the municipality! I was as surprised by what I could find in Tokyo which was not like Tokyo. And even here, in Kanagawa, there's a big difference between a town like Machida and the northern part of it, with residences and gardens and rice paddies. 26 May 2008 4:23am @Japanalia: I think that's what it was Gabriela. Very nice area! Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesLooks like a nice spot for those who like country living. 27 May 2008 10:56pm @Twelvebit: Yes. Still less than an hour from downtown Osaka too. |
