On the Banks of the Mogawa 2Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 4 July 2008 in Landscape & Rural. Quite a few pictures that I've posted have been taken from that bridge you can see in the background there. This is turning into a series showing you my route home from university... Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

@Michael Rawluk: Thank you Michael! Observing from Local, United KingdomSuper shot.... Holland has narrow dyke roads like this. It's obviously to protect against the river..? 4 Jul 2008 3:53pm @Observing: I think so Mike... thanks! @david: Thanks david; bye! Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaI really like the angle you took it at, put me in a mood to exercise :) 4 Jul 2008 5:29pm @Lorraine: Gambatte, Lorraine! standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceGreat perspective shot Daryl. Thanks kiji! @Cheryl: Cheers Cheryl! akarui from Kagoshima, JapanYour route to the university seems to be nice as you follow a river. 4 Jul 2008 11:20pm @akarui: Thanks akarui. This is the home stretch, near my house... danthro from Suburbia, United Stateslike the light, color and detail in this. i think my favorite part of it is the shadow of the bike. interesting also to see it this way--in the previous shot i thought it was a cement road for some reason 7 Jul 2008 1:09am @danthro: Its kind of densely-packed but loose soil... don't know how long it will last! Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesLook over your shoulder now and you may spot me taking your photo. 7 Jul 2008 1:44pm @Twelvebit: Whaa...? Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanThis road here looks like a huge golden snake! The presence of the bicycle is most welcome, especially the shadow...it reminds me of ET. 14 Jul 2008 9:07am @Japanalia: Thanks Gabriela... Japanese bicycles are perfect for carrying E.T.! |
