Looking Back

Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 19 July 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

This is the reverse view from shots in previous days; looking back toward Sonoda station from the steps up to the Mo river bank.

Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Observing from West Cheshire, United Kingdom

Interesting view, as mentioned previously, everything seems to be on top of everything, but I imagine it to be a nice place aswell, looking at the little shops there. Good shot of that (water) pipe, and I like the Roast coffee on the bike.

@Observing: Thanks Mike. People are often struck by how packed in much of urban Japan is when they come here. I feel the reverse when I go back to England... so much space!

Lorraine from Canada

OUtstanding, I like this, great perspective Daryl :) You can follow the path she walked, I like that and I like that she bought coffee lol

@Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine... bought it from McDonald's though unfortunately!

Gnarf from Stockholm, Sweden

Im fascinated by the mess of cables between the houses in Japanese cities :)

@Gnarf: Yes it's pretty striking when you come here! Cables everywhere...

Twelvebit from Victoria, United States

Very nice street shot, and not just because you included a pretty girl.

@Twelvebit: Cheers Twelvebit!
