Only 3 months until Hallowe'en! I can't wait! Although I suspect the people in this house are even more excited about it, judging from this photo I took last week.

@Lorraine: I guess they could be living in the moment so much they forgot to take down last year's decorations!
LOL, good eye Daryl. too funny. I guess they are excited for it to get here! all behind the burgler proof window, how inviting is that..:-)

@Mandy Provan: Thanks Mandy!
Let's get throught summer first.... :-| You mentined that they are typical windows.... why, is there burglers around?

@Observing: Japan's pretty safe in that regard... I don't know what the criss-crossed windows are for actually, but they are normal. Maybe resistance for earthquakes? I will have to ask around... never paid it any attention until you guys mentioned it! Many ground floor apartments and houses will actually have solid bars in front of the windows - so I don't think this is really an anti-burglary thing.
american in japan?

@valenttin: Maybe, but Hallowe'en is definitely getting more popular here each year!
God! It's Halloween! It's crazy :)

@kiji: It sure is! Thanks kiji.
neat capture, like the colors and atmosphere. this might be a dumb question, but do they celebrate halloween in Japan too?

@danthro: Cheers danthro! It's getting more and more popular with children. Come October, there'll be decorations around and Hallowe'en sweets and things in the shops. I don't think anyone knows what its history is though, they think its just another "American" import (people are always surprised to hear its not American) that's fun for kids!
Halloween --my personal religious holiday. The linkage with Christmas was pretty well defined in the Tim Burton film, The Nightmare Before Christmas.
