It's getting baking hot here in Japan. Mid-30s (Celcius) and it will go higher in August. And humid. Down here on the bridge over the river you're completely exposed to the sun - wasn't my best idea, taking shots at this time of day!

@dj.tigersprout: Thanks dj.tigersprout!
I can get a real sense of that burning sun. Nice composition Daryl. Did you consider any cropping on this one.. perhaps a little at the bottom ?

@Observing: Thanks Mike. To be honest, the solid black at the bottom was why I chose this shot!
It has a great mood, I think it's wonderful :) I agree with Mike though a little cropping would go a long way ;)

@Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine!
yes, I agree with Mike and Lorraine :-) I have found out the hard way also not to shoot in the heat of the day....the sun is way to harsh!

@Gnarf: Thanks Gnarf... it really was...
I love the depth of tones present here......and I hope you have air-con, mid 30's and humid...phew...it was 29C and 90% humid here today, and that was draining.

@Richard_Irwin: Thanks Richard! Do have an air-con; I remember terrible times in the UK when it gets hot and humid and there's no air-con to give you any respite... no escape! Do people have air-cons at home these days?
Nice transition from light to dark, with the bright spot to anchor it all.

@Doug: Cheers Doug!
I had to reduce the page to see your picture all at once. I like your composition as it is.
