Kiyomizu Nights

I haven't been out anywhere with my camera in ages, so I'm going to have to dip into my archives and re-examine at some old shots I never got around to posting. This is the night view from Kiyomizu Dera, a famous temple and sightseeing spot in Kyoto.

Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

@marc j: Thanks marc. It's not a tradition; it's a view of the hillsides surrounding the temple from the platform that you can see in the next day's shot... There are coloured lights around the hills in the evening. It's very beautiful there!
