Human BentoPosted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 7 November 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture. Restaurant building along the riverside in Kyoto. I'm sure someone else in the community posted a picture of this... This photo is a bit too small and narrow, but you get the idea. I remember being frustrated at not being able to catch the scale of this scene. That's the last of these older archive shots from Kyoto that I found recently, it was a nice surprise when I discovered them again! Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

KIJI from valenciennes, FranceWhat a funny one! 7 Nov 2008 7:40am @KIJI: Thanks KIJI! @KIJI: I saw! On the left side! But actually just coincidence... I was too far away and it was too dark outside for anyone to see me, plus I took the shot from a very busy area, crossing a bridge! Is it where there are outside terrasses along Kamo river? I use to walk along that river when I was living in Kyoto and go to the starbucks cafe which have a beautiful view on the river. 8 Nov 2008 4:36am @akarui: That's the place Olivier! When did you live in Kyoto? What made you move to Kagoshima? Doug from Long Beach, United StatesAh, the frustration of photography: how it often fails to fully capture what it's like to be there in person. But this is still very interesting. 10 Nov 2008 5:01am @Doug: Cheers Doug! @Twelvebit: Cheers Twelvebit!
