Sightseeing at Shuri CastlePosted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 15 November 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture. A tour guide showing visitors around Shurijo. This is the other side of the una (forecourt), taken from the same vantage point as yesterday's shot. Interesting features here include the striking bright red tiled floor, the distinct Ryukyu-style roofing, and, to the bottom-left foreground of the shot, a traditional Japanese businessman on his mobile phone. Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!
