Shureimon, ShurijoPosted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 22 November 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture. Shureimon (Shurei gate) was the first part of the castle complex to be rebuilt, in the 50s and 60s. A picture of this gate appears on the Japanese 2,000 yen note. Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!
