Nervous Guy

Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 6 December 2008 in Animal & Insect.

He wasn't quite as curious about people who got too close to him...

Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Twelvebit from Victoria, United States

Do people have big dogs in Japan, like Great Danes and Bull Mastiffs and Irish Wolfhounds?

11 Dec 2008 4:08am

@Twelvebit: You do see them, but small dogs are very common. Maybe to do with the size of people's houses, and the environment (not so many big gardens, green areas to walk your dog, etc...). But I'm guessing here. But I'd say there's definitely a preference for small dogs, whatever the reason.
