Adashino Nenbutsu-jiPosted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 16 January 2009 in Lifestyle & Culture. Arashiyama, Kyoto. A former burial place, the grounds of this temple contain thousands of stone statues commemorating the dead, collected from the local area in the early 1900s. Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!
