Bamboo Forest, Adashino Nenbutsu-ji

This path through the bamboo lies at the back of Adashino Nenbutsu temple in Arashiyama, Kyoto.
Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future.

Ahhhh! but ths is by far a much better shot than the previous one (from the same location)! The beauty of bamboo and the light filtered through them.....as if in a heavenly acquarium. The winding staircase adds movement to the shot and helps lead the eyes to the green heights. I'd say...a poetic image!
