Warning - Low Bridge 2Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 27 January 2009 in Transportation. I wanted to try to show you how close your head can get to the trains that pass over the bridge shown in yesterday's shot. I could have touched it. If you look at these two shots again, you can see that there's not much to prevent people getting onto the track if they so desire! I thought about sitting under the bridge when a train passed over. But, I'm sorry to say, I chickened out. Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesI think I would rather be in the tunnel rather than so close to the side of the train 27 Jan 2009 10:03pm @Steve Rice: It's pretty close eh Steve? Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomIt would have been pretty noisy in the tunnel.... you saved your hearing :-) 27 Jan 2009 11:39pm @Observing: Thanks Mike! Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesThe trains around here are so loud that it is very intimidating to get close. I've stood by the tracks to take a photo feeling like I want to flee. 2 Feb 2009 9:57pm @Twelvebit: It's a primal (and healthy!) urge isn't it? |
