Ebisu Shrine, New Year's Day 6Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 9 March 2009 in Lifestyle & Culture. These men are selling decorated bamboo branches called fukuzasa. People display them in shops and offices in order to bring good fortune for the coming year's business. The shrine was particularly busy this year! Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!
