Love your position, I'm kind of with the penguins on this, they seem to be very interested in observing the humans.

Twelvebit from Victoria, United States

Interesting birds. In Herzog's "Encounters at the End of the World," there is talk of a penguin going insane --though the example discussed may just represent individuality and determination.

8 Jun 2009 6:59pm

@Twelvebit: Haven't seen that film, but is that the scene where a penguin wanders off from the group, to certain death? I heard about that somewhere, can't remember...

Twelvebit from Victoria, United States

That's what they talk about, and the futility of trying to intervene, because as soon as a bird like that is released he turns right around and heads off where he wants to.

9 Jun 2009 10:12pm

@Twelvebit: One more film to add to the list...

Twelvebit from Victoria, United States

Turned out to be a baby....maybe five feet long.

12 Jun 2009 10:12pm

@Twelvebit: Still, what a catch...
