View of Okayama Castle from KorakuenPosted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 22 August 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. I've posted lots of photos of Japanese castles on this blog, but never one of this castle before. I just realised how odd this is, as I lived in this city (Okayama) for two years and have visited the city often since, as it is my wife's home town. So very belatedly; here's Okayama Castle. Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanWonderful view!!! A bit dark, though...but still impressive! I've never been in the area! 25 Aug 2009 6:11am @Japanalia: The famous black 'crow's castle'... a bit dark?? Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesIt is beautiful. The landscaping is gorgeous. 25 Aug 2009 4:48pm @Laurie: Thanks Laurie! Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesWell, it is distinctive, and perhaps unique, so perhaps the comparison isn't apt, but I virtually never post images from where I live either. In fact, it seems I rarely even take photos in the town where I live. 3 Sep 2009 8:37pm @Twelvebit: It's kind of understandable isn't it? Human nature... I normally take the camera if I'm 'going somewhere', normally to do some sightseeing. |
