Kibitsu Shrine, Okayama 6

Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 7 September 2009 in Architecture and Portfolio.

The long corridor, following the contours of the underlying land, is another famous feature of this shrine.

Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

beautiful tones here -- the soft curve of the walkway / bridge is wonderful movement for the eye too! and this lighting is so wonderfully soft!!

Twelvebit from Victoria, United States

Seems very vacant. I don't think of Japan as so much an empty space.

@Twelvebit: Shrines are often quiet and peaceful spaces Twelvebit.
