Tending the Field, Bitchu Kokubunji

Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 22 September 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Standley from Carquefou, France

A beautiful contrast between the rapeseed field and the leafless trees!

@Standley: Thanks Richard!

Putter from Brugge, Belgium

Very nicely composed. Good one, Daryl!

@Putter: Cheers Putter!

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

Looks like a hard type of living to make Daryl. Are they some sort of fruit tree out of season?

22 Sep 2009 4:26pm

@Curly: Thanks Curly. They were fruit trees if I remember. This was early springtime, I think the trees were nearly ready to produce fruit. This is not a poor area, just daily life in rural Japan!

Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United Kingdom

Something rather touching about this . . a frailty of landscape, perhaps ? Image connects.

@Ronnie 2¢: Thank you Ronnie!

MARIANA from Waterloo, Canada

Very interesting shot .

@MARIANA: Thanks MARIANA!

Twelvebit from Victoria, United States

I have to tell you, my first glance at the title had me thinking, what...Tending the Bitch? Has Daryl gone starkers? But this does have Japan written all over it.

@Twelvebit: Twelvebit! I'm shocked...

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

A great slice of rural life. I like such shots.

@Steve Rice: Thanks Steve!
