View over the Setonaikai from Ushimado, Okayama

Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 7 October 2009 in Landscape & Rural.

Ushimado is part of Setouchi city in Okayama prefecture, Japan. It's a peaceful town with beautiful countryside surrounding it, and beautiful views of the Setonaikai (Inland Sea).

Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

The inland sea is beautiful. I forget where I saw them, but there were oyster growing structures in this sea. At any rate, a fine shot.

@Steve Rice: Thanks Steve. I know they have many of those near Miyajima in Hiroshima.

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

This is another part of Japan that I've never visited! Looks entrancing! Is that smog or fog?

@Japanalia: Just a hazy day Gabriela.
