A Day on the Water, Ushimado 3Posted by Daryl Johnson (Farnham, United Kingdom) on 11 October 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. My wife and I spent a couple of days here with our parents back in March. We had a very pleasant early evening cruise out from our hotel; it was so peaceful out on the water. Although I'm now in England, this blog will still feature photos from Japan for the foreseeable future. I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Richard Standley from Carquefou, FranceNothing as peaceful like being on the water! 11 Oct 2009 8:27am @Richard Standley: Thanks Richard! Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesLooks as though it could be Puget Sound. Lovely shot. 11 Oct 2009 1:51pm @Steve Rice: Thanks Steve! @Alun: Thanks Alun! @Marc: Merci Marc! @Krista: Thanks Krista! @Twelvebit: Thanks Twelvebit! Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan<Being on the water>? Nahhhh! Not for me! LOOKING at <being on the water>, yes...I like it! Like Richard said, water gives such a peaceful feeling when quiet and it puts your feeling in turmoil when choppy or right away angry! Water can be the unexpected, you fall into its depths...never sure if you come back (?) The IDEA in your image is beautiful......the real doing is according to taste. Did you get on that water in a boat? 18 Oct 2009 2:14am @Japanalia: Yes, we had a cruise around on a yacht. I like being near the water, on the water, but for me the problem is being IN the water - I don't like swimming (especially in the sea)! |
