Can you imagine anyone being dumb enough to try and ride this chair lift without using the safety bar?

We were! Didn't realise there was a safety bar until they stopped the lift, shouting "bar! bar!" at us. The scariest moment came when the lift stopped and the chair rocked forward, then back again...

Yikes! Not being a skier, I didn't know about that either.

@Steve Rice: I know... so many little moments where we felt completely out of synch with everyone else (being in a ski resort, but non-skiers...) but not many of those moments were as dangerous!
