The Need for Speed

Anyone else having trouble with accessing the "view all Photoblog images" page?

Resolution starting to go here due to my cropping, but I quite liked the crop anyway.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Art Monkey from Salt Spring Island, Canada

I really like the contrasts of this shot - both visually and conceptually

@Art Monkey: Thank you AM!

Manuela Photography from Hainburg, Germany

Very good concept contrast!

@Manuela Photography: Thank you Manuela!

Jen from Jessup, United States

Wonderful perspective and the cropping is good!!
I had issues with the page yesterday but didn't check today, the thumbnails weren't showing up.

@Jen: Still can't get to the whole group's photo page. Thanks for stopping by Jen!

reflected concepts from Kyoto, Japan

In response to your question...an emphatic YES! Nice capture again...the foolery of using an umbrella as a helmet...

9 May 2007 11:09am

@reflected concepts: Just checked; still seems the same. There's a time and a place for umbrellas, I believe, and they aren't riding a bicycle on a sunny day.

Stu from Kyoto, Japan

Ha! Nice capture D. What a contrast. Good timing to shoot this one.

@Stu: Cheers Stu!

Kairospix from Singapore

regarding the inability to access the "view all Photoblog images" page, i have the same problem - emailed AM3 team and they replied that they are aware of the problem and are working ot resolve it asap

i have to agree with the comments above - it's a great contrasting shot in terms of colurs and concept!

good job!

@Kairospix: Thank you K! Got a message today too from Jason that they are working on it.

DTW from Orlando, United States

Yep still having some issues but it's getting better. They probably need a few more days to work out the bugs. Great shot. Seeing the people with umbrellas on a bicycle always makes me laugh.

9 May 2007 8:51pm

@DTW: Thanks DTW. I think the umbrella must be to protect delicate skin from the sunlight, as it was a nice sunny day!

tengtan from Melbourne, Australia

Fine justaposition of contrasts which give an atmospheric sense of the street scene.

9 May 2007 9:10pm

@tengtan: Thank you tengtan.

Anup from Bangalore, India

Makes me :-)

10 May 2007 9:23am

@Anup: Cheers Anup!

Lucca from Cologne, Germany

This is a nice capture! I like the umbrella.

10 May 2007 10:18pm

@Lucca: Thank you Lucca.

Alexandra from Veszprem, Hungary

Nice shot! I like the contrast.

11 May 2007 8:38am

@Alexandra: Thank you Alexandra.

Sidonie from Sydney, Australia

I'd like some technical tips on how to cycle with an umbrella up, like your foreground subject here - nice contrast of fast and slow.

12 May 2007 8:42am

@Sidonie: #1 - do it on a sunny day, so there is less chance of getting wet.

Thanks Sidonie!

Mike Cash from Kiryu, Japan

I love the symbolism here; the old struggling to keep up with the new. This shot would retain its strength no matter how bad the resolution got.

@Mike Cash: Cheers Mike!
