Autumn in Arashiyama

Posted by
Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 5 December 2007 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Another shot at Tenryu-ji temple, Arashiyama, Kyoto. Autumn has come late this year; leaves are only fully turning their colours right now!

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Wow, look at those colours, you do get autumn late, ours passed by about two weeks back, and all the leaves have noe dropped off the trees.

@Richard_Irwin: They're starting to drop now, started to notice leaves on the streets, but most trees still full!

Lucky you - winter came early here. Snow has covered the ground since before the leaves finished falling. Beautiful photo - the reds of the leaves go so well with the torii.

@Damon Schreiber: Cheers Damon. As of today, leaves have suddenly fallen... winter's moving in fast now...
