It looks like people actually are living there. Time for a improvement of the facade or even maybe a new house :) I have got the feeling that Japanese people prefer to build new houses instead of maintaining the old ones. Same goes in China where they build houses that should last about 20 years and then the tear it down and build a new one.

When I see something like this I think about the technical problems, such as noise in a hail storm, or the impossible task of preventing leaks. The photo is excellent, showing the miserable condition.

@Observing: Cheers Mike! I have thought the same thing. I should have photographed the other side of the house too, don't know why I didn't... you won't believe it! Next time I take my camera out...
