Twelvebit from Victoria, United States

Even though the movie was in color...striking color...this image has me thinking Sukiaki Western Django.

11 Dec 2008 4:10am

@Twelvebit: Thanks Twelvebit... did you like that movie? It wasn't very well received here...

Twelvebit from Victoria, United States

I'd say it's better than A Fist Full of Dollars --quite a bit better, but not as good as Yojimbo, the film both Fist Full of Dollars and Sukiaki Western Django are remaking. To me it seems a departure from Miike's style, which I like better in films like Audtion, Gozu, and the Happiness of the Katakuris. But then, I haven't seen all that many of his movies --perhaps not enough to intelligently judge his style.

@Twelvebit: I may have to check it out on DVD...
