Nunobiki Herb Garden, Kobe 2

Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 21 June 2009 in Landscape & Rural.

My attempt at one of those tiltshift image things that are all the rage these days, using the image from yesterday.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Wow, not only does it work really well as a 'miniature' style image, the wild contrasty colours make it even more like toy town. Very effective.

Ignis (Adrien) from Paris, France

The best thing about those two "sister pictures" is that both are incredible in their own way.

Though the "toy effect" makes this one even more special. That's a great one !

Tilt shift is interesting. I've not tried it. It seems you have used it effectively.

@Laurie: Thanks Laurie!

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

Very interesting effect. The two people on the curve in the road look nearly identical in the two images. Most everything else looks different so that this looks like a miniature board game perhaps. Good job.

@Steve Rice: Thank you Steve!

very cool!! which site did you use? love the slight extra saturated colors -- is that from the tilt shift?

@dj.tigersprout: Thanks dj! I didn't use any site, just worked on DoF and saturation in Paint Shop Pro Photo.

Twelvebit from Victoria, United States

Amazing how that works. Good choice for the effect. Looks like a little model.

@Twelvebit: Cheers Twelvebit!

Aaron Schmidt from Auckland, New Zealand

Very cool ... the miniature effect really works here. I think the colour saturation is slightly overdone but the line of focus is dead on. Overall a great shot.
