Irori, Takayama

Posted by
Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 4 January 2010 in Lifestyle & Culture.

An irori hearth inside a sake shop, Takayama city. A bit of a blurred and botched job this one, unfortunately...

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

It looks fine to me, and the processing is superb for this high contrast look.

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

I like it that you focussed your camera on this kettel which I saw in the previous shot! And you found, again ,a great tonality in monochrome! It has character!

I like those inside open fireplace in Japan. They boil water like here or cook some fishes. Beautiful and interesting.
