Good Boy

Posted by
Daryl Johnson (Worcester Park, United Kingdom) on 8 February 2010 in Animal & Insect.

Back to Japan (on the blog anyway...残念)! In fact, back to Takayama after a month-long trip to snowy England. This dog is a shiba, my favourite kind of dog. He was very calm, very quiet, just sitting out the front of his house, keeping watch.

I apologise in advance if I'm tardy with commenting on your blogs or returning comments during the week... I will get to you though!

Srujan Chennupati from Hyderabad, India

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

I fell for those dogs while in Japan. They are so cool and smart I'm told.

@Steve Rice: Very smart Steve. They seem so calm and cool don't they?

Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan

I like the seriousness of the pose and....the company (why 2 balls?)

@Japanalia: It's just the way males are born Gabriela. Oh! Sorry! You meant... well, I don't know, maybe they belong to the kids in the house?

Marc from France

Nice dog, seems calm!!
With the balls for playing!!
I love this shoot!!

Twelvebit from Victoria, United States

He's a beautiful dog, but I hate to see him chained.

14 Feb 2010 10:54pm

@Twelvebit: That's completely usual for dogs in Japan. Chained outside or in a cage inside (seriously...).

Twelvebit from Victoria, United States

BTW, I liked your response to Gabriella.

@Twelvebit: Glad to be of service Twelvebit!
